- African Blackwood (Ebony) - most durable hardwood, very soft to the touch, hard and resistant

The bottom (hand-) part can be made from nearly any material

the metal parts can be made from Brass, Bronze, Stainless Steel (sanded, matte or in black), Copper, African Blackwood or other
